Privacy policy

Vivi is a private personal assistant operated for one family. This page describes how Vivi uses the Google account that its owner chooses to connect.

Google data Vivi accesses

With the account owner’s authorization, Vivi can access Gmail messages, metadata and labels; Calendar events and attendees; Drive files and metadata; Docs and Sheets content; and contacts. The connected account is the owner’s personal Google account. Vivi does not connect to a work account.

How Vivi uses that data

Vivi uses Google data to answer the family’s questions, summarize relevant information, organize personal records, schedule family events, and create or update emails, documents, spreadsheets, and calendar entries when requested or under a standing family instruction. Vivi does not use the data for advertising, profiling for ads, or sale.

Where data is stored

OAuth credentials and conversation history are stored in the owner’s Hermes installation on a personal Mac. Requested records and task results may be stored in the owner’s personal Google account and designated personal iCloud folders. The owner controls those accounts and files.

When data is shared

Relevant excerpts may be sent to OpenAI Codex to generate a response. If that service is unavailable, Vivi may use its OpenRouter fallback. OpenRouter is configured to route only to zero-retention endpoints and to exclude providers that train on request data or publish prompts. An email or calendar invitation may also disclose information to its named recipients when the family requests the send or a standing family calendar rule applies. Vivi does not share Google data with advertisers or data brokers.

Limited use

Vivi’s use of information received from Google Workspace scopes adheres to the Google Workspace User Data and Developer Policy, including its Limited Use requirements. Google data is used only to provide the family-facing features described here and is not used to train a general AI model.

Control and contact

The account owner can revoke Vivi’s access in Google Account settings and can remove local Hermes data and family records they control. For questions or deletion requests, contact deltapurna@gmail.com. This policy will be updated before Vivi uses Google data for a new purpose or changes its AI processing provider.
